Cosmos Launches Six Pre-Built Power BI Report Packs for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Cosmos Data Technologies today announced the global launch of six new Pre-Built Power BI Dashboards for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, giving customers a ready-to-use starting point for financial and operational analytics in Power BI.

The new dashboards cover Finance, Sales, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Purchasing. Each is a complete, multi-page Power BI report built on the governed Cosmos data models that customers have used across these areas since 2022. Rather than beginning with a blank report, users can start with established metrics, visualizations, and drill-through capabilities, then customize the dashboards as their reporting needs evolve.

The launch extends Cosmos’ existing Power BI integration, which already provides Business Central users with access to structured Cosmos data models. The new dashboards add a finished reporting layer on top of that foundation, making it easier for customers to move from connected data to usable analysis without having to build every core dashboard themselves. It also continues Cosmos’ broader approach to ready-to-use reporting, which already includes 30 pre-built Excel reports with every Cosmos instance.

The six dashboards give finance and operations teams a broader view of performance across the business:

• Finance: Analyze revenue, gross profit, net income, cash, and P&L performance, with the ability to drill into underlying financial detail.
• Sales: Review sales, costs, and profitability by item category, individual item, and salesperson.
• Inventory: Monitor inventory value, inventory turns, and days of supply across locations.
• Accounts Payable: Track aging, upcoming due dates, and vendor balances.
• Accounts Receivable: Review aging, days sales outstanding, and collections activity.
• Purchasing: Analyze open purchase orders, spend by vendor and category, and supplier performance.

Each dashboard runs on the Cosmos data warehouse and established Business Central data models, giving customers a consistent reporting foundation across all six areas. The dashboards also support reporting across multiple Business Central companies, enabling organizations with multiple entities to analyze information together in a single reporting environment.

Users can modify visuals, add pages and measures, and extend the supplied Power BI dashboards as their reporting requirements become more specific.
